Books I Am Excited About By: Hayley

Books I’m Excited to Read

Hello book lovers!
Recently, I’ve reviewed a couple of books that I’ve read and loved in the past, and I even shared another smaller post about some quotes I love earlier in the week. But today, I’m going to talk about books I have not read yet (stay with me!), but I am SUPER excited to read!

  • The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston LeRoux: I watched this movie when it came out in 2004, and seriously have been obsessed ever since. I used to watch it weekly with my grandma and sister when we went out to visit her, and they even got tickets to see the live show in 2007! I might have screamed from excitement… definitely. I bought this book a few weeks ago and it has been taunting me, begging to be read… Soon my love, soon!
  • Defending Taylor by Miranda Kenneally: Miranda is an awesome author, and I absolutely devoured Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker, and really, I’m excited to read all of the Hundred Oaks High books. I bought Catching Jordan on a whim, thinking it looked like it would be alright, but holy cows. Amazeballs. Do yourselves a favor and read these. Defending Taylor is the most recent release and I am seriously dying to get my hands on a copy!
  • This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab: Okay. Victoria got my attention with The Archived (see my review from last week here) and I’ve been a fan since. Might have to order this one today… Hmmm…
  • I Let You Go by Clare McIntosh: I actually saw this book on Goodreads, from one of my friends marking it as a book they wanted to read. I loved the cover artwork and got curious, and the story looks interesting. It also has very good reviews, and a sequel… I love sequels… Sigh.
  • The Secret Circle series by LJ Smith: Oh my. Don’t even get me started on how much I LOVED the TV series (before it was cancelled… still upset about it). I know books are always going to be different from the movie or in this case, TV series, but I’m kind of excited to see how similar or different they really are. The TV characters are near and dear to my heart (Adam and Jake… swoon!) but characters in books always get me, too. Another book sitting on my shelf that is basically just begging to be read!
  • The Unearthly series by Cynthia Hand: I’m going to be totally honest here, I was browsing the YA section of Half Price Books, and when I saw the cover for this book, I immediately picked it up and knew I was going to buy it. I thought about it later when I was looking through and found another book I wanted, and I figured, Hey, you should probably read the inside cover, so you at least know what it’s about. The book is beautiful, and the story looks like one I’m definitely going to enjoy. I’m a sucker for angel books, and I actually just picked up the third in the series from Half Price last week! Beautiful covers, I just couldn’t stay away!
  • Literally every Ellen Hopkins book: I’ve read Impulse and Fallout in the past, and I cried and cried. I love her and her writing, and I am seriously so glad I was able to see her speak at my library when I was in high school. I actually just bought my own copy of Impulse last week, and I’m seriously excited to tear through that one again. It’s been too long.
These are just a few of the many books on my “to read” shelf, and I know there are a lot more books out there that I’m excited to read, but these are the ones that automatically came to mind. Of course, I’m also excited to read more books from Karin Slaughter, See Me by Nicholas Sparks, and the few Sarah Dessen books I haven’t read, but these ones will all have to be read first. To be honest, the one book on this list that I have been literally itching to read is The Phantom of the Opera. As I mentioned before, I’ve been obsessed with this story and the movie ever since 2004, and I was only eleven years old! It’s always stuck with me, and recently, my best friend Kammie had mentioned that she was going to get a copy for herself to read and I lit up when she told me. For some reason, it never really occurred to me that it was a book before it was turned into an actual musical and a movie, a few different times.

What books are you excited to read, and what’s on your “to read” shelf? Have you read any of these books, and if so, what did you think? Be sure to comment below and let me know, I’m excited to see what your thoughts and opinions are!

Until next time, happy reading everybody!

One Book That Got Me Through a Dark Time By Ariel

So this week is our second week of blog posts and I decided I want to go along with the reading journey theme. This week I want to talk about a book I read in highschool that has really meant alot to me throughout the years. Let me give you some information about who I was as a freshman. So I have never been very cool or popular and I got bullied. A LOT. Because I was always bullied I tried to overcompensated and be cool. (It never worked.) I have always been very smart and so I tried to use that to my advantage and get the cool kids to like me. Essentially I was the nerdy kid the cool kids got to do their homework for them.
One day in english class one of the cooler girls was telling me about how she has a book report due and needed help with it. Well I had finished mine a couple days after having it assigned to us so I offered to help. The assignment was to pick a book read it and write about it. So I asked the girl how much she had read of her book and she replied telling me she hadn’t read any of it. So knowing how cool she was i offered to read the book and write it for her knowing i could finish the book that day and do the assignment by class the next day. The book she chose to read was Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson.
This book changed my life and I hope it may change other young girls and boys who may be struggling. Let me know if you have read the book in the comments. I would love to hear what you think of the book and what you may rate it. So for anyone who has not read the book I will tell you a little about it. Wintergirls follows the story of a young girl battling anorexia. Lia the main character is struggling with this mental illness while struggling to get over her best friend's death who was battling bulimia. Laurie depicts what it is like to feel these feelings so well it is almost like she is writing from personal experience it's eerily amazing. This book has quite a few triggers in it and I would definitely recommend anyone who is easily triggered by self harm, suicide, or eating disorders do not read this book. If you don’t have the issue of feeling triggered by those problems it is a must read.
So as a small little freshman I was constantly being bullied constantly being called fat or ugly, and I struggled with some of these issues that Lia and Cassie go through. I struggled with the feelings of depression and maybe even teetered on the edge of becoming anorexic or bulimic. One of the reasons why I didn’t fall into that terrible life style is mainly because of this book. This book truly shows what life is like when you go down a dark path such as this. Throughout the book Lia lies to her parents, finds ways to hide her not eating, and falls down a very very dark path. After reading the tale of this poor young girl that I related to I realized that I CANNOT follow her footsteps.
Even though the book is only 278 pages the story stuck with me long after I was finished. I had read the school’s copy of the book and never owned the book myself but i always had what I learned tucked into my mind. Finally after years I bought the book on my nook and read it in a day. I also just purchased a hard copy of the book just a few days ago because I loved it so much that I NEEDED to own an actual copy of it!
Wintergirls was published on March 19th 2009 with 278 pages, and an average rating of 3.99 stars out of 5. I for one think that this book deserves more than 3.99 stars. My rating for the book would be 5 out of 5 stars for sure. This book has seriously helped me in more ways than one and I cannot thank Laurie Halse Anderson enough. I also need to thank the girl from highschool that never did her own homework, because without her I would have never come across this amazing book. In all honestly I think that if I had not read this book my life may have turned out completely different. I am so glad that i read this book all those years ago and I glad I can share this book with all of you.
What I want to end things on is this. Sometimes life can be so so very hard that you don’t want to go on anymore, It’s okay to feel like that. I mean it when I say it is okay to feel that way. What is not okay is when you act on those feelings. So if you find something that drags you out of that funk hang on to it and remember the way you felt when you found it. Sometimes things just fall into your lap and help in just the right ways, other times you feel stranded and stuck like you will never get out. If you hang on to those things that fell into your lap things can feel maybe just a tad bit easier. That’s what happened to me with Wintergirls , and maybe this blog telling you to go read the book is what will help you! You never know so please my sweets don’t give up like Cassie, Lia’s best friend, did. Things almost always get better and if they don’t it truly is okay to ask for help. Asking for help may be the hardest thing you may ever have to do but sometimes that’s all you need to get better. Even if you just reach out to me I can help, I can listen, and I can give you someone to cry to. Everything will be okay.
Until next time,

The Archived By: Victoria Schwab

The Archived by Victoria Schwab

Hello, fellow book lovers! For this review, I’m going to talk about a book that I read recently and that I really loved, The Archived by Victoria Schwab. Before we get too much further into my review and thoughts, I have some Goodreads stats!

The Archived was published on January 22nd, 2013, and has 321 pages. The average rating on Goodreads is 4.03 stars out of 5!

Okay. So when I found this book, I was just browsing through Half Price Books, searching for something that looked interesting, and something new and different for me. Victoria Schwab definitely did not disappoint!

A little bit of personal history here.. Normally, I’m not a huge fan of fantasy or anything like The Archived. I tend to be drawn towards realistic fiction and to characters and situations I can relate to, even just a little bit. I’ve always loved Sarah Dessen (those reviews will come in the future!), and Miranda Kenneally (also future reviews). There are a few others that I don’t remember right off hand, but when I was in high school, I mostly read realistic fiction, and found that I couldn’t get enough. Every once in awhile, I would read a story about vampires, including the Twilight and House of Night series, and a couple including ghosts, but other than that, I stuck with realistic teen fiction.

Even now as an adult, I find myself drawn to the more realistic fiction versus fantasy or paranormal. However, I decided I needed something different, and The Archived is exactly what I needed.

“Imagine a place where the dead rest on shelves like books.”

The Archived is about a Keeper, Mackenzie Bishop, whose job is to keep Histories (dead people) from slipping through the cracks and getting into the real world. The place where the Histories are kept is called the Archive, which is essentially a library of dead people, but their memories are accessible by Librarians, who are trained to read them. Those who were also members of the Archive are kept in a secret wing that is locked down, to keep them from waking up and even leaving the Archive. All other Histories, everyone that has died, are kept on shelves and organized. Those who wake up escape to a place called the Narrows, which is a small area between the Archive and the real world, but unless they have a key, the Histories cannot escape. What Mac is supposed to do is basically track these Histories down, and send them to the Returns room, which basically ships them right back to the Archive, all peaceful and asleep. Mac is struggling after her 10 year old brother, Ben, is killed in a hit and run accident, and her parents decide to move to another town. On top of all of that, more and more Histories are waking up and slipping, and it takes Mac and another keeper in the apartment building, Wesley, to keep most of the Histories in check. Mac’s list is growing longer and longer, and the Histories she has are normally younger and confused, but they are now growing increasingly violent and terrifying. Mac and Wesley are now both struggling to keep the Histories from escaping into the world and find themselves in a real pickle by the end.

Without spoiling the entire book, I can’t say much more.
But what I can say is…
READ. THIS. BOOK.

The beginning was very sad, as Mackenzie talked a lot about Ben and her grandfather that trained her to be a Keeper, then passed away. She shares everything he taught her, and the bond that her and Da had was special and was honestly super cute. I also really loved Wesley and never had a good feeling about Owen… *squint*

The way that this book was written kept me wanting more, wondering what would happen next for Mac and Wesley, and before I had even finished The Archived, I had ordered the sequel, The Unbound. Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to get to The Unbound just yet (due to all of the reading for the podcast), but I really hope to in the next couple of weeks.

Personally, I gave The Archived a five star review on Goodreads. I devoured this book and was so engrossed in the story that when it ended, I was actually seriously upset and below is an actual picture of how I looked while waiting for the sequel.

I’m definitely Sheldon when it comes to this series.
Also, I’m super excited because the third book in the series should be out sometime this year, or at least that’s what Goodreads says… Don’t lie to me, Goodreads, please let this be true!!!

Speaking of Goodreads, Victoria Schwab actually added me as a friend!! EEEEEEK! I was at work when I got the notification, and I had to contain myself. I needed a good fangirl shriek, but.. Yeah, I had to hold it until I got home.

I didn’t want to put this book down, and to be honest, I would definitely read it again in the future. I really loved Mackenzie and Wesley, and I really, REALLY loved Roland. It was an adventure, and I can’t wait to see where The Unbound takes me!

Be sure to add me as a friend on Goodreads, and follow the podcast pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Reddit. All of our links, including my personal Goodreads page, is in the About and Contact tabs on this website!

Also, if you’re a fan of short stories, I have a personal blog that I’ve been writing for the past week, you may find it here (link). If you’d like, feel free to follow me there, and post any commentary! I’m excited to hear what you all think!

Until next time, bookworms, happy reading!

What Began my Reading Journey By: Ariel

Hey friends! So this week has been super crazy for us! Pokemon go recently came out and so we have been going crazy catching pokemon and trying to read and write our blog posts! Since this week is our first week writing posts I wanted to start off and tell you more about my reading journey and the two books that really began my love for books!
When I was younger I had a very hard time reading. From kindergarten until fifth grade I was in the special education classes for reading. My teacher, Bunny, was one of the most amazing teachers I had while I was in school. She sat by my side before and after school helping me read, and always had patience with me even though I was short tempered. I did and still do get very frustrated whenever I'm having troubles with something. Reading was something i really couldn’t get the hang of and it had me throwing temper tantrums. Bunny still sat by my side and pushed me to get better and better. Finally by the end of fifth grade I surpassed the reading standards above and beyond what was expected of a fifth grader. I think they said I was reading at a 12th grade reading level by the age 9. I may be a late bloomer but when I bloom I really bloom!
During christmas my fifth I got a stack of books from my great grandma. Two books in particular really stood out to me. They were So B. It by sarah Weeks and Baby Blue by Michelle Kwasney. I mentioned these two books in the blog about us. I read these as a nine year old and they still stick out to me as a 21 year old. Both of these books have a really deep and powerful message and they really changed my perspective on these subjects.
The first book So B. It is about a girl and her mentally disabled mother. The main character, Heidi, is on a quest to find out who her father is and why her mother says the words So B. it. This story is truly heart breaking her mother is ill and can barely take care of her, her only friend lives in the apartment next door and can't leave the apartment because he has a mental illness agraphobia. I have never read a story still to this day that deals with mental illnesses and mental disabilities in such detail. This book really gave me more insight and outlook on these very common problems in today's world. I for one don't come into contact with very many disabled people and I still become a little uncomfortable because I simply don't know how to act or what to say. This book really showed me that there is no need for that apprehension and that they are still normal people. I also felt a real connection with Heidi because I too never knew my biological father and have always had that curiosity to know who he is. This book really drew me in from the get go and I truly think that everyone should read this no matter what age you are because the moral of the story and what you take away from it really will last a lifetime.
The second book that really started my love of reading was Baby Blue by Michelle Kwasney. This book is set in 1976 in a time where domestic violence laws were not in place. Blue the main character is dealing with her family falling apart and she starts a journey to fix even a little piece of it. (apparently I have family issues because I really related to blue!) Blue's father drowns and her mother remarries to an abusive man named Jinx. Jinx abuses blues mother over and over causing her older sister Star to run away. When Blue can't handle it anymore after jinx almost beats her mom to death she runs away after her sister to get her family back and to save her mother. This is seriously a tear jerker I am not even kidding. I remember reading this as a young girl and being horrified at the truth of what can happen in abusive relationship. This book is for children but in all honesty I really don’t think it should be. This book has very adult themes for being directed at children. Even so this book has still stuck out to me even after 11 years. Thinking about Blue’s journey still to this day sends shivers down my spine and brings tears to my eyes. I seriously recommend this book to any and all of you who may be having troubles with their family, or anyone who may be in a book slump.
These two books have had a huge impact in my life and if I had the ability to I would make every single person I come into contact with read these two books. I feel like if they have even a little impact on their lives the way that it had on mine we just might make this world a better place. When I say that you need to go out and find these books and read them I seriously mean it, they are absolutely my favorite books ever. Baby Blue is only 208 pages and So B. it is 288 pages. These two books are super short and you can devour them in one sitting! The good read stats on both this books are super high averaging around 4.5 stars and both came out around 2004 and 2005. These books may be older but the stories and themes are timeless.
So here is some advice if you, someone you know, or even a child/family member dislikes reading or if you are stuck in a slump. When trying to find a book to get you hooked or trying to find a book to get someone into reading find them a book they can relate to and something that they truly like and care about. If you have a young boy who likes sports then get him sport books, if you have a daughter who likes princesses then find her a goddamn princess book. If that doesn't work then don't stop there be patient work with them and keep trying until they find what clicks for them. Don’t give up and just let them hate reading because I truly believe in my heart of hearts that every single person can have the love of reading that hayley and I do you just have to find what you truly love in books. Sometimes that can really be an uphill battle but once you find it you really really find it and it's amazing.
If you take one thing away from this blog is to keep trying because you may just be a late bloomer like me! Keep fighting and you will find the book that clicks with you! If any of you want to share your book journey with us I would love to hear what you have to say. I also want to see what book or books started it all for you!
Until next time I love you all book friends

The Last Song By Nicholas Sparks

Hey everyone!
This week, I’m reviewing The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. I read this one back when I was in high school, after receiving it as a gift for Christmas. I devoured this book, it is definitely one of my favorites I’ve read, and one of the first Nicholas Sparks books I had ever read!
First, I have some stats from Goodreads..
This book is 390 pages, and was published on September 8th, 2009. The average rating on Goodreads is 4.13 stars out of 5!
This is a story about Veronica “Ronnie” Miller and her brother Jonah going to visit their dad over the summer. Jonah is excited, and Ronnie is not, she’s rebellious and angry with her parents, who divorced 3 years ago. Over the summer, Ronnie and her dad begin healing their broken relationship through music.
I can’t say much more in the summary without giving away what happens… which is KILLING ME. This book was made into a movie, and I made myself read it before watching the movie, and I am seriously so glad I did. Every time I watch the movie (starring Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth), I cry and cry… and always at the same part! Nicholas Sparks has a way of getting you so invested in a story, and feeling so warm and fuzzy and happy for the characters, and finds a way to sneak in a plot twist, and break your heart.
dawson ugly cry
No, he doesn’t just break your heart, he shatters it.. Into teeny, tiny pieces that you just don’t want to clean up because you’re too busy sobbing and melting into your puddle of tears. The way he writes the characters is incredible, because when I read The Last Song, I felt what each character felt, and I went on the crazy, emotional rollercoaster ride that is this book. For me, a big part of reading is being able to relate to the main characters, or any of the other characters, for that matter. If I can’t relate to anyone in the story, if I didn’t feel any emotion while reading, and if I didn’t laugh, cry, or want to scream, I feel like I wasted my time. Luckily, I have not had that experience very much, and The Last Song never made me feel that way.
You will laugh, you will cry. You might even cry a lot, despite your best efforts to stop the tears. I remember when I was finishing up this book, I was sitting in the living room reading while my mom and stepdad, Deric, were listening to an audiobook. I’m a very emotional reader, so naturally, when the plot twist was revealed, I got very teary eyed and basically was wiping my eyes and had to go find Kleenex so I didn’t reveal the fact that I was ugly, snot crying over a book. This wasn’t new to me, however my mom and Deric had never seen me cry over a book before, and they laughed and laughed at me! I looked at my mom and I remember telling her, “Oh, you just wait until you read it or listen to it, and let me know when you cry, too!” And what was really funny about that was that she did! She texted me a few weeks later when she borrowed the audiobook from the library, and said that she was in tears at work over this story! It gave me a giggle, but having read the story before her, I laughed and then cried inside.
All of this being said, I really did enjoy this book. I absolutely loved seeing all of the changes Ronnie went through, and I love seeing characters grow and develop more as people, and Ronnie certainly did that. She was a character I really did not like and identify with in the beginning, but as I kept reading, she grew on me, and she got better and better.
The rating I gave on Goodreads was a 5 star rating. I gave it this rating because when I closed the book, I had no questions, and though I felt incredibly sad, I was also satisfied with how the story ends. I was heartbroken for this family, and it hit close to home at the time, but I loved how everything was resolved, and everything came together nicely. Now, I definitely wouldn’t mind a sequel or another short story, just following up on Ronnie, Will, and Jonah… but it’s definitely not necessary.
What is necessary is some super glue, so I can hopefully get my heart put back together before reading Nicholas Sparks’ newest novel, See Me. I hope to read See Me before the end of the year, and there will definitely be a review once I read it!
Alright everyone, that’s all she wrote for now… If there is anything you would ever like me to read and review, or any book you would like Ariel and I to talk about on the podcast, feel free to give me a shout and let me know! You can also use Goodreads to recommend books to me, or keep in contact through Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram!
Until next time, happy reading everyone!

Get to know us

Recently, we started up this podcast and we have seriously been so happy with how things have turned out so far. We can’t wait to keep going and see where this takes us! We will be posting more about some of our favorite (and possibly least favorite) books we’ve ever read. If there is anything you would like us to read and review as a blog, or even for us to read together and review on the podcast, feel free to let us know. Don’t forget to add us on our social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, Goodreads, Twitter, and Tumblr. We love hearing from everybody and we always love reading things that other people loved. In a way, it makes us feel more connected to people, knowing how much they loved a book!

Hayley

Hello, fellow bookworms!
My name is Hayley, and I am addicted to books… now that we have that out of the way, let’s get to know some other things about me that aren’t completely obvious! :)
So first things first, a little about myself…
For as long as I can remember, I have been a total bookworm and completely obsessed with music. I started with playing piano when I was young, mostly learning by ear and sight. I didn’t actually start taking piano lessons until I was in at least seventh grade! I also was in band and played clarinet, and in high school, went on to be in the color guard, as well as school choir until the end of my sophomore year of high school. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and though I haven’t played much piano recently, I do sing (yell) while driving, and I LOVE going to concerts! I only started going to rock shows in the last couple years, but so far, some of my favorite bands I’ve seen live are I See Stars (marry me, Devin!), I Prevail, Butcher Babies, Get Scared, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, and Starset. These are only a few, I’ve seen some other smaller and local bands as well!
As I mentioned before, I have been obsessed with books for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I went to an in home daycare, and after lunch and before going swimming in the summer, we had a time in the afternoon dedicated to reading. Many of the older kids, like me, preferred to stay in a separate room reading, while some of us chose to read storybooks to the younger kids. I didn’t read to them much, mostly because I had my nose stuck in one of the other books I couldn’t get enough of! Janet always made sure we had time to read during the day, which made me turn around and after a long day of playing outside and swimming or sledding during the afternoons, I would go home and tuck my nose in a book again. Now, I don’t remember a whole lot of the books I read as a child, because a lot of them were Choose Your Own Adventure books or Hank the Cowdog, but I eventually graduated from reading those to reading actual chapter books. A couple favorites from when I was younger include Bridge to Terabithia, Because of Winn-Dixie, and Where the Red Fern Grows (sobfest!).
Now that I’m older (if 22 counts as older), I pretty much just love to read anything. I’ve always absolutely loved to read young adult books, but I’m also open to reading other things! I have read some new adult romance (fan, please!) and some other adult fiction. I definitely can’t choose a favorite young adult novel, but some of my favorite ones I’ve read include anything by Sarah Dessen, the House of Night series, and anything by Simone Elkeles. Another couple of adult fictional favorites of mine include Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson, The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks, and The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. I’m a sucker for a good romance, and of these books made me laugh, and then cry.. Ugly, snotty cry. But it was totally okay, I swear.
I normally keep everything I’ve read, what I’m currently reading, and what I want to read on my Goodreads page. Not everything I’ve ever read is listed there, but I do have plenty of books I would like to read listed there.
The first book I will personally review is going to be The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. This one is actually one of the first books of his that I read and I absolutely loved this book, I can’t wait to talk to you all about it!
That’s pretty much all about me, and I think for now it’s time for me to have a reading party of my own.
Happy reading, everyone!

Ariel

Hey there everyone! So I’m Ariel, the other half of the book hangover! This being our first blog post we thought it would be perfect to give you some insight on our lives. Well to start off I was born and raised in Omaha Nebraska and I have never left. I have been totally in love with books since i could read. Though my read adventure started out rough. When i was very young I had lots of trouble reading and understanding words. From kindergarten until about fifth grade I was in a special education class for reading, but in fifth grade something clicked and I haven’t been able to stop since. One of the first books that ever drew me into reading was Nancy Drew and the case of the 99 steps. Have any of you read it? Let know me know if you have! From there it was a slow start to my reading journey. There were two other books that drew me in and finally took off my obsession, those two books were So Be It by sarah Weeks, and Baby Blue by Michelle Kwasney. Those books forever have a place in my heart and may be the first books I will write about in my blogs. From there my obsession took off and now I will read anything I can get my hands on. My love for books was so great growing up that my punishments were being grounded from books! What kind of child was I?!
During my high school years I was in every activity under the sun. I was in theatre doing every play and musical the school had, i even became a Thespian as a freshman one of the first in the school! I was also in the marching band my instrument was flag, and by flag I mean I was in the color guard becoming the captain my last year of school. Even though high school itself was not a fun time for me I really enjoyed all my activities and loved the learning aspect of the experience. As a junior I decided I wanted to graduate early so I did. After graduating high school I went on to a community college and studied Technical Theatre for two years. Deciding that it wasn’t what I wanted to I quit and went to esthetics school.Even with my love of books I still have many hobbies. When I am not reading I spend my time working as an Esthetician at a salon doing all types of facials, body waxing (male and female brazilian waxing included!), manicures and pedicures, and body treatments. I absolutely love my job that is for sure! On my days off i fill my time with teaching color guard as a local high school with a fellow instructor. I also contribute my time to volunteering with the American Cancer Society’s Look Good Feel Better Society where I teach cancer patients how to take care of their skin during treatment and how to apply makeup to make them feel normal during very difficult times. If you, family member, or friend needs more information about this program do not hesitate to reach out to me and I will get you all of the information you need.
I would love to interact with you on any of my personal social media accounts! I have a goodreads account where you can keep up with my reading and see what i have read.
